J’s story

On May 20th I woke up in St George’s Hospital after roughly 6 hours of surgery to find that I was unable to return to work. As the sole breadwinner of my family I was greatly distressed. I was the victim of a brutal domestic violence attack that left me unable to work for 3 months.

I am pleased to say that I have returned to work and though emotionally scarred, I am functioning well. Without the help from your fund I would have likely ended up evicted as I received little help from the government.

Words simply can not express my gratitude but please allow me to extend my deepest heartfelt thanks for being there for me, both in moral and financial support. I remain indebted to you for helping me through this extremely difficult time.
