Financial Assistance

We offer financial support to practising and retired optometrists facing financial hardship. Our grants help cover essential expenses, ensuring you can focus on your practice and your wellbeing.

We offer wellbeing support where we fund professional counselling and mental health resources for those that may be struggling emotionally as well as financially. We can also help with grants towards specialist medical equipment.

Who is eligible for assistance?

Anyone who requires help may apply directly to the Benevolent Fund or may be referred by another organisation, such as the AOP or The College of Optometrists.

How do I apply?

What types of support are available?

Assistance from OptomHelp may be offered to beneficiaries on an immediate or short-term basis, depending on individual needs. In addition to financial support, the fund may also provide grants for specific needs such as medical equipment, back to work courses, or counselling services
